“After receiving a set of dentures that required the use of denture adhesive I found myself happy with how the dentures looked but constantly agitated at how difficult it was to remove the denture adhesive. I tried so many different methods to remove it. The frustration of trying to scrape it off my pallet with my finger proved ineffective. It just pushed it all to the back of my throat. Growing up I was an Army Brat out of Fort Brag, North Carolina. My life was filled with some troubling moments, many of which have been outlined in the book Tunnel Vision by N.P. Simpson. This lead to some very dark times in my life and a struggle with substance abuse and habits that were far from healthy.
I decided enough was enough and made changes for the better. Including taking the long road to recovery. Even though my life has had its ups and downs I knew that I wanted to make a difference. Starting Denture DART during a pandemic was something I would have never expected.
